Mario Cherry is a seasoned Director of Athletic Development with over 7 years of experience in collegiate-level athletics. He has collaborated closely with esteemed figures such as Anthony Holloman, Ed.D., the former Athletic Director at Fort Valley State University and current Commissioner of the SIAC Conference, and Mr. Dan Adams, Associate Athletic Director, Marketing & Fan Experience for Georgia Southern University. Mario has cultivated a proven track record of excellence in elevating student-athletes to the next level.

Mario hails from Thomasville GA, and is a proud alumnus of Thomasville High School, Class of 2014. He holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology focusing on Coaching Education and a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a minor in Business. His educational background is further complemented by his active involvement in extracurricular activities, including membership in the Georgia Southern Sport Management Club from 2016 to 2018.

After a record-setting senior year in 2013 at Thomasville High School, Mario’s recruitment efforts unfortunately fell short due to a lack of camp presence and attending the incorrect camps leading up to the fall of 2013. Despite working on the field, he could not attract attention beyond the local viewing area. The accolades and awards listed below demonstrate that attending the correct camps goes hand in hand with on-field performance. This realization is one of the many reasons I wanted to create One05 Sports—to assist parents and student-athletes in navigating the recruitment process more effectively.
